"My name is Hannah Petersen, I'm a 16-year-old self-taught artist and
photographer. I've always wanted to be a photographer so saved up for my
first camera when I was 12. 

My passion for realistic art started when I was 14. I sat in front of a mirror and attempted a self-portrait. After praise from my family for the resulting piece, I've dedicated 100s of hours to improving myself. Art and photography are the lifelines of our past. Without these images, moments, and feelings captured, we would be living in a very different world. We wouldn't be about to look back at our children's baby photos and remember their tiny faces. We wouldn't know what our great-grandpa and grandma looked like. As for that mesmerizing view of a mountain lake on a spring day, it would be lost forever if its painting didn't hang on that wall. That is why I love doing what I do, I get to capture it all.
